Corporate Social Responsibility

TIME Engineering Berhad (“TIME”), a Government-Linked Company (“GLC”), is the information, communications and technology (“ICT”) flagship of UEM Group and spearheads strategic ICT initiatives in its mission of becoming a leading player in the ICT industry. As a GLC, TIME is persistently driven by the mandate to serve as a partner in nation-building, and acknowledges its Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) role to the nation and society.

TIME places significant emphasis on education and this becomes its CSR’s main thrust, in line with its mission to contribute towards the development of a knowledge-based society. In principal, all TIME’s CSR initiatives are aimed at contributing to society development that will give impact on capacity building and human capital enhancement. TIME therefore persistently looks for opportunities to contribute positively to society and at the same time add value through each of these opportunities for the advancement of the country.

Towards this end, TIME has undertaken and sponsored a wide range of education, social and community programmes. At the same time, TIME supports internship programmes under various higher learning institutions in several related fields such as IT, computer sciences, business administration and management. TIME has also successfully initiated and supported significant education projects especially those that help the community gain from ICT opportunities and education enhancement through the use of technology in teaching and learning.
